Six specialities, chosen for outcome data — not for margin.

We coordinate treatment only where India hospitals publish outcomes that stand comparison with accredited centres in Europe. Where a speciality doesn't meet that bar, it isn't on this page. Prices are indicative all-in packages; length of stay is the realistic figure, not the brochure one.

Speciality 01

Cardiac Sciences

India's high-volume cardiac units are the reason most of our patients come. The senior surgeons we work with each carry annual bypass volumes in the high hundreds — numbers that are simply not available in smaller health systems, and the single strongest predictor of a good outcome in cardiac surgery.

For international patients the practical difference is timing. A bypass that carries a four-to-nine-month wait in a public system is typically scheduled here within eleven days of your reports arriving.

What we ask for up front

  • Recent angiography report and, if available, the CD or DICOM images
  • Echocardiogram within the last three months
  • Current medication list, including anticoagulants
  • Kidney function and HbA1c, since both change the surgical plan

Speciality 02

Orthopaedics & Spine

Joint replacement is where the arithmetic of medical travel is most obvious, and also where the most corners get cut. Two quotes that look identical can differ by four thousand dollars in implant alone — and by fifteen years in expected implant life.

Every orthopaedic quote we send names the implant manufacturer and model, states whether it is cemented or uncemented, and lists the alternatives at their real prices. If a hospital won't put that in writing, we don't send you their quote.

Bilateral in one admission

If both knees need replacing, India surgeons will usually offer to do them in a single sitting. It means one anaesthetic, one recovery and roughly 35% less than two separate trips — but it is harder on the body and is not right for everyone. Your consultant will tell you plainly whether you are a candidate.

Speciality 03

Oncology

Cancer care is the speciality where we say no most often. Travelling for treatment makes sense when a defined course can be completed in one trip — a resection, a radiotherapy cycle, a transplant. It makes much less sense when the plan is open-ended, because oncology depends on continuity, and continuity does not survive a nine-hour flight.

So the first thing we do is establish what the realistic course looks like. If the honest answer is that you should be treated near your family, we will tell you that, and we will help you get a second opinion to take to your local team.

Where India genuinely leads

  • Bone marrow and haematopoietic stem cell transplant, at roughly a tenth of US cost
  • CyberKnife and IMRT radiotherapy with short scheduling queues
  • Complex head-and-neck and gastrointestinal surgical oncology
  • Molecular profiling and targeted therapy at a fraction of Western pricing

Indicative packages

Oncology pricing varies more than any other speciality. Treat these as an order of magnitude, not a quote.

Speciality 04

Transplants

Indian law permits transplantation between near relatives, and — with authorisation-committee approval — between people with a documented emotional relationship. It does not permit any form of payment to a donor, and it never will. If anybody offers to arrange an organ for you, they are proposing a crime, and you should walk away.

What we do is different and slower. We prepare the legal file, arrange the donor's independent medical and psychological assessment, and present the case to the hospital's authorisation committee. That process takes six to ten weeks and it cannot be shortened. Roughly one in five transplant enquiries does not clear it.

Documents the committee will require

  • Proof of relationship — birth or marriage certificates, family tree, notarised
  • Photographs of donor and recipient together across a period of years
  • Passports and, for both parties, an affidavit of voluntary donation
  • Full cross-matching and donor fitness workup, performed in India

Speciality 05

Neurosciences

Neurosurgery is the speciality where a second opinion changes the plan most often. Of the neurology cases we handled last year, just over a quarter came back from review with a different recommendation than the one the patient arrived with — sometimes more conservative, sometimes more urgent.

India's tertiary centres run intra-operative MRI, awake craniotomy with speech mapping, and deep brain stimulation programmes with substantial case volumes. For epilepsy and movement disorders in particular, the assessment infrastructure is the thing worth travelling for.

Indicative packages

Neurosurgical pricing depends heavily on tumour location and intra-operative monitoring.

Speciality 06

Fertility & IVF

Fertility clinics are the part of this industry most prone to optimistic arithmetic. A clinic quoting a 65% success rate is usually quoting per-embryo-transfer in women under 35 — not live births per cycle started, which is the number that actually matters to you.

We ask every partner clinic for live-birth-per-cycle-started, banded by maternal age, and we send it to you unedited. Some of those numbers are less flattering than the marketing. That is rather the point.

What the ART Act means for you

India's Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act 2021 restricts commercial surrogacy and regulates donor gametes tightly. Some arrangements available elsewhere are not lawful here for foreign nationals. We will tell you clearly, at the first enquiry, whether what you are hoping for is possible in India — before you spend anything.

Straight answer

What we don't arrange

A facilitator that says yes to everything is telling you something about its incentives. This is our written list, and we will send it to you before you ask.

  • Any transplant where the donor is not a documented relative or emotionally related party
  • Commercial surrogacy, which is unlawful in India
  • Stem-cell therapy for conditions without published trial evidence — a large and growing market here
  • Experimental cancer protocols marketed directly to patients
  • Cosmetic surgery combined with major medical procedures on the same admission
  • Any case where the treating consultant judges the flight home to be the greater risk
